Smokie needs your help!

This little beautiful girl is Smokie! She is an 8 month old, jet black Staffie mix. She is super sweet and is a major kisser! She is always happy, always wiggling and always eager to please. She loves to go on walks and explore, but more than anything she just wants to be with people. She is still just a pup, so some training would do her well, but she is well worth it. She is always bubbly and happy that she forgets to have manners. But that will all change with a little training. She is VERY smart and picks up new commands in minutes. She loves to run around and sometimes she will play with some tennis balls or squeaky toys, but like I said before, she just wants your full attention. She gets along with other dogs, however she is a very rough player, so some dogs may not like that. She should live with older kids because of her playfulness and I'm not sure how she would be with cats. Smokie is a great, GREAT dog who is finding shelter life hard though. She is very jumpy in her kennel and she sort of just blends in. No one has inquired about her or even taken her out to meet her. So, please give this girl a chance, she is VERY gorgeous and her personality matches! She is a cuddle bug who deserves better!!! Email us to see more pictures and get more information on how to meet this girl...

Jazzy needs a forever home!

Check out Jazzy's VIDEOS and her PHOTOS!

This two year old Staffordshire beauty is looking for a new home! She's got beautiful hazel brown eyes and an award-winning smile. And boy is she just too cute! Her name is Jazzy.

This poor girl has never been well-taken care of, she's underweight and by looking at her figure she's been bred quite a lot. Jazzy seems like she was left in the backyard just to have puppies. I don't think she's really ever been loved or given much attention to.

When she first came in to the shelter, she was rather aloof and didn't really know what to do with herself. When you'd pet her, she wouldn't know whether to stay and enjoy being petted or to explore. We all thought she was just an independent dog, but the more I spend time with her, the more I think she hasn't shown her true self yet. She may not be one of those gushy, wiggly big-headed goofballs, yet, but I think with lots of love and time, she will be.

The second time I took her out, she started to play with the tennis balls and squeaky toys that were out. The third time I took her out, she was excited to see me and wagged her tail. Instead of playing this time, we just cuddled. After a little while, she rested her head on my lap and started to fall asleep. I melted. From there on, I knew there was more to this girl and I had to help her! She actually is quite sweet once she gets to know you and with some love and care, she will be a great dog. I think she will only continue to shine from here on and whoever adopts Jazzy will be one lucky home...

*UPDATE ON JAZZY* We now know lots about Jazzy. She has gotten along great with the dogs she has met so far. When passing dogs on a walk, she just ignores them and goes on. She walks great on a halti and knows sit. She is great in the car and after some rolling around, she will just fall asleep. She appears to housetrained. She loves to play! SHE LOVES TO PLAY! She gets very, very excited when you bring out toys. So, she will need some training and a home without young kids. After she plays, she will go sleep on your couch. She is a pretty gentle and mellow dog when there are no toys around. She is currently in a foster home, so please email us for more information!
